From Sunday, January 24-Tuesday, January 26, 2016 the British Toy & Hobby Association brought fans and licensees The Toy Fair aka UK Toy Fair.
Some photos with accompanying words showed the first photos of upcoming Ghostbusters merchandise. Even if its only for Ghostbusters 2016, ghostheads haven’t seen this level of merchandise to directly tie into the Ghostbusters franchise since The Real Ghostbusters. That’s how it feels!
Its possible North American licenses will bring us similar or the same products. As far as we know these products are for the European market. Safe assumption we’ll know and see Ghostbusters products for the colonies and Canada at Toy Fair New York. Continue reading “UK Toy Fair: Ghostbusters 2016”
Last October I got around to talking about Ghostbusters confectionaries (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 13, 2015) that are only available to buy from the United Kingdom. One of the very few times having a kingdom that’s united may be better then having states that are united. How is a movie created by a Canadian, co-written by an American and another Canadian, and directed by a Canadian not allow us to have the same Ghostbusters candy? Someone really needs to invent better refrigeration technology and begin exporting.
About three months later, The Grocer, a UK website reported after New Years about a few food companies who are among the licensees for Ghostbusters (2016).
The Grocer quotes Rob Wijeratna from Rocket Licensing where he talks about the value of the Ghostbusters brand and how their are 23 UK licensees.
The complete article can be read from The Grocer.

Possibly, we currently don’t know for sure. With that Ghostbusters banner “whoa, somebody’s coming.”
About two weeks ago we wrote about (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, January 17, 2016) how Ghostbusters Laser Tag Attraction currently at Six Flags Mexico may have other international locations going forward.
The Star Tribune out of Minnesota reports that a “Minnesota development group and Sony Pictures Consumer Products” are building an indoor amusement park. Which will have character themed “activities and experiences.”
The theme park is scheduled to break ground during Summer 2016 and is scheduled to open by the end of 2017.
Where will this pretty cool place be built? Will we need a passport? Continue reading “Ghostbusters Laser Tag Attraction Headed To Minnesota”
IDW’s Ghostbusters International Issue #1 went on sale yesterday. (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, January 26, 2016) If you follow GBI on Twitter we made most of our tweets/retweets about fans enjoying the new Ghostbusters adventure in comic book form along with reviews.
It made sense to share sites that have reviewed Ghostbusters International Issue 1. We probably won’t compile a list with upcoming issues.
As for our own review? Well one of our executives didn’t put the order in until yesterday. He chose economy shipping. Why suit, we’re in the same city! Continue reading “IDW Ghostbusters International Issue 1 Reviews”
Tomorrow, January 27, 2016 IDW Publishing and Ghostbusters International continue to present the newest series in Ghostbusters comics, Ghostbusters International. With Wednesday being a monumental day, this is a preview for Issue 1.

On January 12, 2016 Ghostbusters news site, Ghostbusters.net posted the above photo (Twitter) from a European trade show event. When these are in movie theater lobbies, fans can pose for a photo with the 2016 Ghostbusters. That’s neat and would have been cool during past Ghostbusters theatrical releases.
This future collectible wasn’t the only cool thing shown at Sony Pictures and Rocket Licensing trade show event. Continue reading “Ghostbusters 2016 European Trade Event”
Six Flags Mexico may not be the only theme park or country for that matter to have a Ghostbusters Laser Tag adventure. According to a Ghost Corps Facebook post from January 11, 2016 Ghostbusters laser tag adventures could be expanding to other parts of the world. Maybe we won’t need new passports after all.
Check out this fun Ghostbusters laser tag attraction at Six Flags Mexico! Keep an eye out for more laser tag adventures coming around the world!

In November 2015 Sony Pictures VP of global consumer products, Mark Caplan talked about (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, November 11, 2015) Ghostbusters merchandise in the coming year. Naturally this includes the upcoming Ghostbusters 2016.
Figures from Mattel are forthcoming. Ghostheads didn’t quite know what the “new” team would like in toy form, until January 7, 2016.
Paul Feig, the director of Ghostbusters (2016) tweeted:
Our Mattel 6″ prototypes.
They were described as prototypes. I’m not quite sure what changes would need to be made, if any.

A new year means a new year of comics. IDW Publishing released a “2016 Sneak Peek” previewing all new comics, a look at Deviations, (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, December 12, 2015) their 5 week cross promotion alternate reality themed comics, and a look at Ghostbusters International Issue #1. (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, October 13, 2015)
IDW Publishing’s entire sneak peak was posted by them to issuu. If you want to see just the Ghostbusters preview, we have the art after the break. Thanks to IDW Publishing and Chris Stewart from Proton Charging’s Facebook page. Continue reading “IDW Ghostbusters International Promotion”
In September of 2014, we added West End Games Ghostbusters adventure book, Hot Rods Of The Gods. (GBI Blog Post, September 14, 2014)
Since then we’ve had ghostheads who want to help us add additional adventure/supplemental books. We really appreciate the offer and are willing to accept as long as the scans come from you and weren’t or aren’t part of another site.
Before Christmas ghosthead Jon Armke got in touch with us to offer such supplemental materials we don’t already have on-line. Today, Jon sent a PDF file of Ghostbusters II: The Adventure.
The 14.5 MB file can be downloaded in our Media section. Or on Ghostbusters™ The Role Playing Game page. Continue reading “Playing Games: Ghostbusters II The Adventure PDF”
