UK Toy Fair: Ghostbusters 2016

From Sunday, January 24-Tuesday, January 26, 2016 the British Toy & Hobby Association brought fans and licensees The Toy Fair aka UK Toy Fair.

Some photos with accompanying words showed the first photos of upcoming Ghostbusters merchandise. Even if its only for Ghostbusters 2016, ghostheads haven’t seen this level of merchandise to directly tie into the Ghostbusters franchise since The Real Ghostbusters. That’s how it feels!

Its possible North American licenses will bring us similar or the same products. As far as we know these products are for the European market. Safe assumption we’ll know and see Ghostbusters products for the colonies and Canada at Toy Fair New York. Continue reading “UK Toy Fair: Ghostbusters 2016”

UK Ghostbusters Food Licenses

ghostbusters2016title

Last October I got around to talking about Ghostbusters confectionaries (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 13, 2015) that are only available to buy from the United Kingdom. One of the very few times having a kingdom that’s united may be better then having states that are united. How is a movie created by a Canadian, co-written by an American and another Canadian, and directed by a Canadian not allow us to have the same Ghostbusters candy? Someone really needs to invent better refrigeration technology and begin exporting.

About three months later, The Grocer, a UK website reported after New Years about a few food companies who are among the licensees for Ghostbusters (2016).

The Grocer quotes Rob Wijeratna from Rocket Licensing where he talks about the value of the Ghostbusters brand and how their are 23 UK licensees.

The complete article can be read from The Grocer.

Possibly, we currently don’t know for sure. With that Ghostbusters banner “whoa, somebody’s coming.”

About two weeks ago we wrote about (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, January 17, 2016) how Ghostbusters Laser Tag Attraction currently at Six Flags Mexico may have other international locations going forward.

The Star Tribune out of Minnesota reports that a “Minnesota development group and Sony Pictures Consumer Products” are building an indoor amusement park. Which will have character themed “activities and experiences.”

The theme park is scheduled to break ground during Summer 2016 and is scheduled to open by the end of 2017.

Where will this pretty cool place be built? Will we need a passport? Continue reading “Ghostbusters Laser Tag Attraction Headed To Minnesota”

IDW’s Ghostbusters International Issue #1 went on sale yesterday. (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, January 26, 2016) If you follow GBI on Twitter we made most of our tweets/retweets about fans enjoying the new Ghostbusters adventure in comic book form along with reviews.

It made sense to share sites that have reviewed Ghostbusters International Issue 1. We probably won’t compile a list with upcoming issues.

As for our own review? Well one of our executives didn’t put the order in until yesterday. He chose economy shipping. Why suit, we’re in the same city! Continue reading “IDW Ghostbusters International Issue 1 Reviews”
