It was a great experience for us. It showed there was a tremendous fan base already built in.
That spark eventually helped lead to the decision to reboot the series with the 2016 film.

‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Hotel Transylvania’ and ‘Smurfs’ allows us the opportunity to build the properties into franchises alongside of the plans the studio has for them.
In between other “retail speak” Tim ‘O Connor casually reveals Ghostbusters will also return to next generation consoles. Activision will release “Ghostbusters” with the upcoming Ghostbusters 2016.
Its a safe to assume the upcoming game will mostly have elements from Ghostbusters 2016. Perhaps it’ll also include some type of “classic” content. Either way we’ll know within 5 months.
