Within 30 days of Ghostbusters original theatrical release Mark Lister and Jim Garvey from Swissvale, Pennsylvania spent $10,000 USD ($24,018 USD in 2018) to start and license the first Ghostbusters Fan Club. (GBI Blog Post, June 8, 2014)

On that very day (in Summer 1984 or June 8, 2014) the certificate of Anti-Paranormal Proficiency surfaced. The Official Membership Card hadn’t in hi-res glory until Groundhog Day 2018! Ghosthead Lance Dobersek tweeted the following:
Not one to miss an opportunity I asked Lance if he could scan his official card to share with ghostheads. His reply, “Consider it done!” Continue reading “Ghostbusters Official Fan Club Membership Card” →
Update, February 17, 2018
We checked for the missing Ghostbusters groups today. I was able to update most of them world wide, even adding some new franchises in the process.
US: Kansas Ghostbusters groups, are ya out there?
Puerto Rico: We’re still concerned about ghostheads in Puerto Rico. We couldn’t specifically find En Puerto Rico, we’ve added Ghostbusters Puerto Rico.
England: We couldn’t confirm Pompey Ghostbusters. We’ve added Ghostbusters London. We’ve been able to confirm Ghostbusters of North Lanarkshire.
Scotland: We’ve added Ghostbusters of Scotland.
Australia: We couldn’t confirm Premier State Ghostbusters. We’ve added The Victorian Ghostbusters.
Original post after the break.

Two thousand, sixteen. A new year for the Ghostbusters franchise. A milestone year. A year I thought once again GBI should have a new domain name. One that’s less than twenty five letters.
Last year the identity for Ghostbusters International was a little less strong. With continuing changes to my life I had less time to update this site, let alone a few. I’m trying.
The renewal for what was ghostbustersintern dot com has come and gone. I decided not so hastily to not renew the domain name for another year. “For the foreseeable future” Ghostbusters International’s site will only be using WordPress default website address.
Please update your bookmarks and feeds accordingly. Thank you.

Senior Illustrator Shae Shatz worked on Ghostbusters: Answer The Call concept art. Recently Shae Shatz shared twenty Ghostbusters: ATC illustrations at the Ghostbusters section of her site.
From Shae Shatz:
GHOSTBUSTERS WAS AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A GREAT GROUP OF TALENT. UPON WORKING WITH PRODUCTION DESIGNER JEFFERSON SAGE, WE QUICKLY FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING A VISUAL LANGUAGE FOR THE GHOSTBUSTERS EQUIPMENT. STARTING WITH THE RAT TRAP, WE WERE SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS THAT WOULD SUPPORT GHOSTBUSTERS MODEST ROOTS THROUGH OBJECTS THAT WERE BUILT OUT OF REPURPOSED AND OFTEN HEAVY-DUTY ELECTRONICS. WITH THESE PILLARS IN MIND FELLOW ILLUSTRATOR ANNIS NAEEM AND I WERE COLLABORATING CLOSELY TO CREATE CONSISTENCY BETWEEN THE OBJECTS HE WAS DESIGNING AND THE ONES I WAS MAKING.
With respect to Shae Shatz we won’t share any additional concept images at our site. We highly encourage ghostheads to spend some time at Shae Shatz Creative.
In 1986 West End Games published Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game. One of the things this one of a kind Ghostbusters game book came with were ID cards for the Ghostbusters, Janine, and Dana. Sorry Louis.
That was pretty much it, (that I know of) until a new Ghostbusters movie was released during Summer 2016.
If you or your RPG buddies have been waiting to add the newer Ghostbusters and didn’t because of lack of equipment cards the wait is finally over.

Artist Jennell Jaquays, painted cover art for West End Games Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game supplemental books Pumpkin Patch Panic and Apokermis Now!
On October 31, 2015, (um we were pretty busy) Jennell Jaquays shared her two cover paintings. To this day her Apokermis Now art is still one of the weirdest pieces of art I’ve ever encountered.

Over the last few weeks there have been many rumors about paranormal events and eerie apparitions. Now ghosts and spooks everywhere have to take care: the PLAYMOBIL Ghostbusters are finally here! The Ghostbusters Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore have just moved into children’s play rooms to join forces with their fans small and large. They are ready to go on the hunt for ghosts!
Lately there have been reports of mysterious noises, strange sightings and floating pieces of furniture in the PLAYMOBIL universe. Green slime started to appear everywhere! These inexplicable phenomena caused quite a stir and many speculations – even the police were at a loss to explain them. Pascal Hendriks, an honorary Ghostbusters: Dutch Division (Facebook) member visited Heide Park Ghostbusters 5D (German Language) ride. Pascal filmed and shared the Ghostbusters area from Heide Park (German Language).
This is just the exterior Ghostbusters part and not the actual 5D ride. Which wouldn’t be in 5D if we could just watch a video, spoiling a ride experience for ghostheads.

As we’re (obviously) not in the United Kingdom and I only wanted to share the Ghostbusters articles anyway I didn’t want to, (with currency rates) buy a digital version of Empire from June 2016. I did the next best thing for ghostheads, scan my copy.
I wasn’t planning on doing that today, I guess I’ve been wanting to. I made high-res scans of the covers, editor’s letter, features, Ghostbusters: Answer The Call article, and Ghostbusters article with Dan Ackroyd. I saved the articles as two PDF files.
Why two? I know not every ghosthead is a fan of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call. (Ecto-Containment) If one really only wants to read the “classic” article with Dan Aykroyd, I thought of “you.”
Both the complete Empire magazine and just the Ghostbusters article, titled The Ghost Writer have been added to the Ghostbusters Firehouse Magazine Rack.

Ghostbusters Dimension (GBI Blog Post, May 12, 2016) from The Void was originally exclusive to New York City. Ghostbusters is international and so is hyper-reality. Nearly a year later so is Ghostbusters Dimension,
You can still experience virtual Ghostbusters at Madame Tussauds in NYC. What if you live in or closer to the west coast of The United States? Or (for us) the other side of the world?
Currently if you’re in Utah or you know Dubai, your wait into the Ghostbusters Dimension is over!
