Ghostbusters: ATC Concept Art

gbsatcopentrapconceptart

Senior Illustrator Shae Shatz worked on Ghostbusters: Answer The Call concept art. Recently Shae Shatz shared twenty Ghostbusters: ATC illustrations at the Ghostbusters section of her site.

From Shae Shatz:

GHOSTBUSTERS WAS AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A GREAT GROUP OF TALENT. UPON WORKING WITH PRODUCTION DESIGNER JEFFERSON SAGE, WE QUICKLY FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING A VISUAL LANGUAGE FOR THE GHOSTBUSTERS EQUIPMENT. STARTING WITH THE RAT TRAP, WE WERE SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS THAT WOULD SUPPORT GHOSTBUSTERS MODEST ROOTS THROUGH OBJECTS THAT WERE BUILT OUT OF REPURPOSED AND OFTEN HEAVY-DUTY ELECTRONICS. WITH THESE PILLARS IN MIND FELLOW ILLUSTRATOR ANNIS NAEEM AND I WERE COLLABORATING CLOSELY TO CREATE CONSISTENCY BETWEEN THE OBJECTS HE WAS DESIGNING AND THE ONES I WAS MAKING.

With respect to Shae Shatz we won’t share any additional concept images at our site. We highly encourage ghostheads to spend some time at Shae Shatz Creative.

Ghostbusters ATC Roleplaying ID Cards

pattytolanrpgidcard

In 1986 West End Games published Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game. One of the things this one of a kind Ghostbusters game book came with were ID cards for the Ghostbusters, Janine, and Dana. Sorry Louis.

That was pretty much it, (that I know of) until a new Ghostbusters movie was released during Summer 2016.

If you or your RPG buddies have been waiting to add the newer Ghostbusters and didn’t because of lack of equipment cards the wait is finally over.

Ghostbusters Answer The Call Hugo Award Finalist

ahugoawardlogo.jpg

Tor.com (as opposed to giant slors dot org) wrote and shared the Hugo Awards finalists for various science fiction media and respective categories. Ghostbusters: Answer The Call is in the category of “Best Dramatic Presentation – Long Form” Which is personally interesting as I never think of Ghostbusters being ‘typically’ dramatic.

Ghostbusters, screenplay by Katie Dippold & Paul Feig, directed by Paul Feig (Columbia Pictures/LStar Capital/Village Roadshow Pictures/Pascal Pictures/Feigco Entertainment/Ghostcorps/The Montecito Picture Company)

Ghostbusters: ATC is up against genre movies such as Arrival, Deadpool, and (Star WarsRogue One. Interestingly all those movies are also competing with Netflix series, Stranger Things and Hidden Figures, a movie based off a book, which was written because of real people who could have worked here if GBI had been established in 1965.

Conductors Of The Metaphysical & Beetlejuice

gbsmetaphybeet.jpg

Beetlejuice has been one of those higher class ghosts that have been a thorn in our Belt Gizmos since the early 1990s. For the longest time that ghost who talks a lot had been oddly silent, going off the protection grid. Recently Beetle…resurfaced in Great Britain.

Where Bee.. had an unfortunate run in with the Conductors of the Metaphysical Examination North East.

However, fortunately for Ghostbusters International franchises across the global hemispheres the Conductors of The Meta, er Ghostbusters filmed their latest case file.

Ectomobile Workshop Manual To Be Published

gbsectomobileworkmanual

Ghostbusters International has had an Ectomobile workshop manual for the last few decades. It has been brought to our attention since the jingle of the year 2000 we should make our expertise available to franchises and car enthusiasts. Like a great peace talk debate, (over delicious sponsored food and beverages) how we were going to accomplish this was up on a lift for years. At least since our 30th anniversary the solution was already in our libraries.

Our also successful associates at Inside Editions knew just what to do. To make a technical manual about an iconic car more enjoyable we brought Troy Benjamin and Marc Sumerak along for the ride.

While Rich was still reviewing Ghostbusters: Answer The Call, (Ecto-Containment) kids at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards helped Ghostbusters: ATC win some awards!

Ghostbusters: Answer The Call was chosen favorite movie of the year! While that would be cool enough, kids voted Melissa McCarthy (Dr. Abby Yates) as their favorite movie actress. Chris Hemsworth (Kevin) was voted as their favorite movie actor.

That’s right Ghostbusters is better than both Captain America: Civil War and Star Wars: Rogue One! 😀
