Today, Robert Maxwell Barbieri (Instagram) shared a new set of photos from the Official International Ghostbusters Club. (Ghostbusters International Page) He messaged us via Facebook the photos to share here at Ghostbusters International.

About this Ghostbusters Fan Club Kit

Found another rare Ghostbusters fan club kit. I snagged this one because it’s an earlier set with the badges and a different introductory letter. I have 2 later kits with one explaining they ran out of iron on patches and included 2 big glossy stickers instead. Just another chapter in the fan club history.

Official International Ghostbusters Club Photos Updated

On August 6, 2019 Ghostbusters International was able to recreate (GBI Blog Post) part of the original Official International Ghostbusters Club, thanks to Robert Maxwell Barbieri. (Facebook)

We figured that would be it unless TECHPAC or “No Ghosts,“ the quarterly newsletter surfaced. On Halloween and into early November (“that’s my fault”) Robert reached out with a couple of new pieces around the Official Ghostbusters Fan Club.

An article about the club, written by Rick Lyman, Inquirer Movie Critic and a letter (more like a note) from the Ghostbusters Fan Club so Mark Lister and Jim Garvey could send “qualifying applicants” club items once they or their parents paid $8.95 USD.

We’ve added these 2 new photos to the Official International Ghostbusters Club page.

Remember that time we wrote about the official Ghostbusters Fan Club? Five years later we’re writing about the official international Ghostbusters. fan. club. again. For a very good reason. It started this summer when the king of the ghostheads, Peter Mosen. (Facebook) had been taking and sharing photos from his career and collecting. One or more of the shared photos came from the original Ghostbusters fan club.

As I have in at least the last 5 years I asked about “club stuff.” That’s also when I heard from Robert Maxwell Barbieri. (Facebook) If you didn’t know, Robert restored the original The Real Ghostbusters pilot. Which Sony Pictures put on ghostbusters.com before also physically adding the restored pilot to the Ghostbusters 35th anniversary 4K/Blu-Ray!

As a ghosthead collector, Robert has items from the original Ghostbusters fan club. I asked for pictures or scans. Could they be shared for ghostheads? Robert agreed and I wasn’t disappointed by what he sent over. Including some extras from his archives.

It took around a week once we had the photos. We’re happy to recreate some semblance from the official international Ghostbusters club.

First 11 Locations, Dates Set On 2019 Wizard World Calendar

‘Ghostbusters Fan Fest’ In L.A., Plus Chicago, Philadelphia Lead Events Scheduled To Date; Additional Cities, Dates To Be Announced; 2018 Springfield, Montgomery Events Canceled

LOS ANGELES, August 30, 2018 – With several of its traditional cities plus the exciting “ Ghostbusters Fan Fest” as highlights, Wizard Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced the initial 11 events to be held in 2019, beginning with New Orleans, January 4-6. Additional cities and venues are still to be scheduled and will be announced when finalized.

Wizard World also announced that its Springfield, Mo., and Montgomery, Ala., shows, which were originally scheduled for October 26-28 and November 9-11, 2018, as first time markets, will not be held. All remaining 2018 Wizard World events will proceed as scheduled.

The 2019 calendar will see the return of Wizard World’s two longest-running events, Chicago (22nd year) and Philadelphia (19th annual). In addition, Wizard World will hold its tenth Austin and ninth New Orleans and Columbus shows, as well as its seventh visits to Portland and St. Louis , respectively. The dates for Tulsa and Sacramento will be established following the 2018 events in those cities. Tickets for all 2019 Wizard World events are available for sale now at http://www.wizardworld.com.

Spirit Halloween Expanding Beyond Protons

This past Ghostbusters Day (GBI Blog Post, June 7, 2018) with Wizard World seemingly dominating Ghostbusters 34th into 35th anniversaries activities we way overlooked to post about Spirit Halloween then upcoming Ghostbusters prop toys (and other) merchandise. We are poor business ghostheads associates Spirit Halloween. We should have pumpkin spice food & beverages in the near future.

We’re finally making the time two months later to post about Spirit Ghostbusters prop toys, including the Spirit exclusive Ghost Trap. (GBI Blog Post, July 21, 2018)
