Personal Update: December 2016

I’ve been meaning to write this post before today. I held off because its difficult and very personal. In other posts where I say its personal, it can be vague. I don’t generally like to publicize my personal life. I’ve whenever I could kept my personal life separate from Ghostbusters. Through the years they’ve sometimes been connected. I feel as a courtesy, for the support you’ve shown the sites over the years, and a need to write I would provide a personal update.

I also reserve the right to remove this post at any time.

Disclaimer: What I’ll write in the next three paragraphs after the read more tag may be emotional.

UK Ghostbusters Food Licenses

ghostbusters2016title

Last October I got around to talking about Ghostbusters confectionaries (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, October 13, 2015) that are only available to buy from the United Kingdom. One of the very few times having a kingdom that’s united may be better then having states that are united. How is a movie created by a Canadian, co-written by an American and another Canadian, and directed by a Canadian not allow us to have the same Ghostbusters candy? Someone really needs to invent better refrigeration technology and begin exporting.

About three months later, The Grocer, a UK website reported after New Years about a few food companies who are among the licensees for Ghostbusters (2016).

The Grocer quotes Rob Wijeratna from Rocket Licensing where he talks about the value of the Ghostbusters brand and how their are 23 UK licensees.

The complete article can be read from The Grocer.

Ghostbusters Video Games: Nintendo, Now You’re Playing With Power

anes

While I had a lot of fun with the families Atari, (and earlier game consoles that pre-date Ghostbusters, can’t even imagine) their was still more fun to be had with the Nintendo Entertainment System or as the cool kids still say (back in 1988) NES.

My earliest memories of Nintendo came from my downstairs neighbors. Their were two sons, one closer in age and was kinda my friend. One of those kid friendship kinda things. One day while visiting I guess him and his older brother (also in his kid hood) were playing their NES (the one that came with R.O.B!) and naturally (or it was coincidental) the game was Super Mario Brothers.

While I may have played Mario Brothers in an arcade, I had never experienced a Nintendo. They hadn’t popped up around my class (or school) like Piranha Plants. My gaming graphics were the blocks of Atari (the cover artwork was a thing of beauty) and the monochrome blocks of Intellivision from a much earlier childhood. Ecto-Containment Matty Collector Ghost Trap Review

mcghostrapdoorsopen

Written By: Richard Roy

In early 2012 I bought a Matty Collector Ghost Trap from a seller within my state. I took un-boxing photos almost immediately, didn’t do much with them. The intent was to upload them to Ecto-Containment and around that time write a review. Whatever the reason prior to “Superstorm” (right) Sandy I sat on them.

The first week of November two years later I finally decided to work with those original pictures and add them to Ecto-Containment. The review still needed to be written. With my sense of humor I made it seem like we’d see that in 2016. Before the review I realized I needed more detailed pictures. I took a new series of photos, uploaded on November 9 and on November 10 wrote a review of my Matty Collector Ghost Trap, which has been published to Ecto-Containment.

The only prop toy I haven’t reviewed is their P.K.E Meter. I could see covering it by the end of 2014, I’ll see how that goes.

Hey everybody, its me Louis! I haven’t been able to write for Ghostbusters Incorporated’s website in a really long time. My chief financial responsibilities usually keep me pretty busy at 51 W. 30th St. Um, send a S.A.S.E for an autograph photo. Rich has been pretty busy recently working on important site updates. Since he’s working towards that, he might have said something about a comic update and a website. I thought I could add the next post. I would have done this sooner, I had to um strategically plan it and work on certain computers when not too many employees were around.

I know you’ve all read the blog posts about new Now Comics updates at Ecto-Containment. Pretty cool huh? I don’t think the rest of the issues to be made into Portable Digital Format were planned to be completed this month. That’s what happened!

The issues that weren’t complete were made into Portable Digital Format (P.D.F) files and added to Ecto-Containment yesterday!!! Now ( 😀 :p ) every issue from Now The Real Ghostbusters is available to read for free (Ooh) um now or whenever you want!

Every issue can be downloaded to read off-line on your personal computer running Windows, OS X, and maybe Linux. I don’t know too much about that. All the comics can also be read on-line (some kind of internet connection required) or off-line on your smart phone or tablet.

Rich also has just one issue of that green guy’s comic from Now comics up too. I don’t care for that smelly ghost, Janine told me years ago he’s alright. We try to keep out of each other’s way when its possible.
