Cryptozoic to Launch Second Ghostbusters Board Game Kickstarter on April 11
Playable Scenario on Display at WonderCon – March 25-27
Lake Forest, CA – March 22, 2016 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games and collectible cards, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products are proud to announce the upcoming April 11 launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Ghostbusters: The Board Game II.
This new crowdfunding campaign follows the successful Ghostbusters: The Board Game 2015 Kickstarter campaign and retail release. The new board game is crafted with fans in mind, and allows players to:
Switch between Proton and Slime Blower Packs with new custom figures and double-sided Character Cards
Battle challenging new Plazm enemies that combine into stronger versions to attack and split up in defense. Immune to Proton Streams, these phantoms can only be taken down by Ghostbusters wielding Slime Blower packs.Use new Ghosts to bring new Slime tokens that can inhibit the Ghostbusters’ sight, movement, maneuvers and combat rolls.

Sean Charlesworth and Norman Chan from Tested posted a video talking about a new 3D printed Ghost Trap. (GBI Blog Post, March 10, 2016) While that could have been it, the guys who could have a new career at Ghostbusters International made a 30 minute video going to the in-depths (my humor isn’t what got me this job) of their 3D printed Ghost Trap.
We’ve shown you Sean’s Ghost Trap replica prop, but there’s a lot more to talk about in terms of the 3D-printed model’s individual components, parts design, and electronics that brings it alive. It’s a kit designed for 3D printing and assembly, after all. Sean and Jeremy explain how they collaborated on the lights and sounds on the trap, which are appropriately activated by the 3d-printed pedal!
If you have access to a capable 3D printer Tested has provided the files for creating your own working, (remember, it doesn’t really catch ghosts because of our IP and the training it takes) 3D Ghost Trap.
Our associates at Cryptozoic Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment sent over news and a press release for a new upcoming Ghostbusters: The Board Game. (GBI Blog Post, February 10, 2015)
The second board game ups the ante with lots of new game elements, including Slime Blower Pack Ghostbusters, Ooze entities that can split apart and join back together, allies, new equipment like Ecto Goggles and Portal Destabilizers, and much more!

A couple of the creative and intelligent folks at Tested (who aren’t busting myths) created a Ghostbusters/II Ghost Trap replica using computers, creativity, screws, (always need those) and a 3D printer.

This 3D Ghost Trap was designed and built by Sean Charlesworth. It works too, in the look, feel, and sounds, not actually catching ghosts. Let’s face it, catching ghosts should only be done by trained professionals. Also we own the patents would never allow anyone that should come work for us to build an actual working Ghost Trap.
If you have access to a 3D printer, Sean’s files will be available at a later time, if they aren’t already.

The world didn’t end thanks to a bad psychic prediction and the fact my employers, the Ghostbusters altered events nearly 3 decades ago. Today is Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2016.
Perhaps you’re tired of the same old cards with hearts. Or you’d like a Ghostbusters themed Valentine’s card. Although we didn’t have these in the 1980s, we have them today thanks to Ghostbusters, IDW Publishing, and artist Dan Schoening. (Deviant Art)
Choose from four if you’re a lucky terror dog you can use all four.

In the late 80s, Dr. Venkman had a show, World Of The Psychic. Respectable people within our business (sorry Milt) didn’t really want to be interviewed about the unusual in the world. Something Dr. V and my employers are pretty familiar with. Peter couldn’t even get the guy who bends the spoons.
On one of his last shows he had two guests on, psychics. With respect to Elaine, you weren’t only wrong, you were so wrong. The world won’t be ending on February 14, 2016. Milt would have been right, my employers figured out what was going on, went back into business, dealt with “mood slime,” stopped Vigo, and even received a key to the city. Another ’80s properties that’s been back from the future has a Monopoly game. Its time (really GBI) Ghostbusters has one too. Coming this May from Hasbro!
Because we do need more Ghostbusters board games Ghost Corps (Facebook) posted Ghostbusters Yahtzee is also on the way. What, no Parcheesi? Please tell me we were the first ones to write that in a post about this news.
