Ghostbusters International and an affiliated franchise are most likely already in your city. And easily accessible through your internet or telecommunications provider. As its been a number of years since GBI as a company and club has had a domain name, the time is right for GBI to not just have a dot wordpress dot com url.
It’s 2020, twenty twenty. Let that sink in. The GHOSTBUSTERS™ franchise celebrates it’s 36th anniversary by welcoming a continuation and a sequel of the original films with Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Obligatory plug: Coming to theaters on July 10, 2020. Directed by Jason Reitman. And all a new Ghostbusters film will bring to ghostheads.
I’ve wanted GBI to have a new domain name, it had to be the “right one.” And personally it had to feel right as well. I didn’t need to just celebrate the 35th anniversary by also having a domain name again for GBI.
This year it’s better early on to have a new domain name for Ghostbusters International, for Ghostbusters: Afterlife premiere, theatrical releases, and home video releases. With that, in digital text Ghostbusters International new dot com is:

Vinyl Sugar (Facebook) sent product/packaging photos to Ghostbusters News (we guess ours went to one of our spam folders, yeah must have) of the three Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz, currently on display at New York Toy Fair.
Still haven’t heard anything about a Winston Vinyl Idolz. Should we hear something, we’ll have an update. Continue reading “Vinyl Sugar Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz Press Photos” →
Previews World has shared a couple of pics on their Twitter account of Vinyl Sugar’s upcoming Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz. Still no sign (or word about) of a Winston Vinyl Idolz. Should we find out the info, we’ll have an update.
Here’s a larger, taller, promotional Peter Venkman Vinyl Idolz. Continue reading “New York Toy Fair: Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz” →
Tomorrow is the annual New York Toy Fair. Where our business associates and other companies within the toy industry will be displaying their wares. Cryptozoic Entertainment made a real splash this week with their upcoming table games.
Sugar Vinyl (Twitter) teased three out hopefully four Ghostbusters that will be on display this weekend. We’ll be talking more about new Ghostbusters merchandise this weekend and next as our schedules allow.

Funko, a slightly smaller evil corporation and Vinyl Sugar, (Twitter) a large evil corporation got together to come up with Vinyl Idolz. What is a Vinyl Idolz? Are one of their employees from JerZey? 😀
From Vinyl Sugar
Vinyl Sugar is the illegitimate love child between Funko and some of the best free-wheeling designers from the back streets of London, the boutiques of Harajuku, and the galleries in NYC. Vinyl Sugar – because you crave it!
With the first teaser image Vinyl Sugar shows us a doc, a dude, and a buster. Specifically Dr. Venkman. All 3(D) figures appear to have a caricature type look. Which certainly works well for Dr. Venkman.
We don’t know when they’ll be available for retail. They should be on display at next month’s New York Toy Fair.

At last years New York Toy Fair we wrote about World Tech Toys. An electronic toy company known for licensing popular characters and basically adding a radio controlled helicopter element. It wasn’t clear in February how World Tech Toys could make sense of making Ghostbusters action figures fly. We also still don’t know if they completely created new action figures for this feat. Less then a year later three of the four Ghostbusters, Slimer, and Stay-Puft are ready for take off. Continue reading “Radio Controlled Ghostbusters Available Now” →
In September Quantum Mechanix released a promo photo (posted above) of their upcoming Q-Pop Ghostbusters figures. During October (we think, we accidentally overlooked it to post) QMX and on-line retailers released separate photos of the boys in gray. Let’s take a better look at each of them. The talented and creative folks over at Zombie Pumpkins (nice) have created Ghostbusters pumpkin patterns for Ghostbusters™ 30th Anniversary as part of their ‘Heroic Headliners.’
Also new for 2014 is a pumpkin pattern for Slimer, which is part of their ‘Movie Monsters’ section. Kinda for Ghostbusters 25th Anniversary Zombie Pumpkin created the big, fluffy, sticky guy Mr. Stay-Puft.
*Update* New the week of October 26, 2014:
