Ghostbusters ATC Roleplaying ID Cards

In 1986 West End Games published Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game. One of the things this one of a kind Ghostbusters game book came with were ID cards for the Ghostbusters, Janine, and Dana. Sorry Louis.

That was pretty much it, (that I know of) until a new Ghostbusters movie was released during Summer 2016.

If you or your RPG buddies have been waiting to add the newer Ghostbusters and didn’t because of lack of equipment cards the wait is finally over.

Artist Jennell Jaquays, painted cover art for West End Games Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game supplemental books Pumpkin Patch Panic and Apokermis Now!

On October 31, 2015, (um we were pretty busy) Jennell Jaquays shared her two cover paintings. To this day her Apokermis Now art is still one of the weirdest pieces of art I’ve ever encountered.

Empire UK Ghostbusters Magazine Articles Added To Magazine Rack

As we’re (obviously) not in the United Kingdom and I only wanted to share the Ghostbusters articles anyway I didn’t want to, (with currency rates) buy a digital version of Empire from June 2016. I did the next best thing for ghostheads, scan my copy.

I wasn’t planning on doing that today, I guess I’ve been wanting to. I made high-res scans of the covers, editor’s letter, features, Ghostbusters: Answer The Call article, and Ghostbusters article with Dan Ackroyd. I saved the articles as two PDF files.

Why two? I know not every ghosthead is a fan of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call. (Ecto-Containment) If one really only wants to read the “classic” article with Dan Aykroyd, I thought of “you.”

Both the complete Empire magazine and just the Ghostbusters article, titled The Ghost Writer have been added to the Ghostbusters Firehouse Magazine Rack.

Ectomobile Workshop Manual To Be Published

Ghostbusters International has had an Ectomobile workshop manual for the last few decades. It has been brought to our attention since the jingle of the year 2000 we should make our expertise available to franchises and car enthusiasts. Like a great peace talk debate, (over delicious sponsored food and beverages) how we were going to accomplish this was up on a lift for years. At least since our 30th anniversary the solution was already in our libraries.

Our also successful associates at Inside Editions knew just what to do. To make a technical manual about an iconic car more enjoyable we brought Troy Benjamin and Marc Sumerak along for the ride.

Ghosts From Our Past Prop Cover

In Ghostbusters: Answer The Call Drs of particle physicists Abby Yates and Erin Gilbert wrote a book titled Ghosts From Our Past: Both Literally and Figuratively: A Study Of The Paranormal. (GBI Blog Post: December 19, 2015)

To tie into the new in-universe of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call, author Andrew Shaffer wrote the real book. Which had a hardback and more common (we think) paperback version. Its cover (probably because it had to) lets ghostheads know its a Ghostbusters: Answer The Call movie related book.

For most people that aren’t ghostheads that’s good enough. When you’re a ghosthead, good enough is well not good enough. That’s where the NYC Ghostbusters come in.

They created an original prop replica cover which can be used with the movie books or another book if one wanted to just display it among their collection.

Ghostheads can either download the regular cover or an oversized cover from the Ghosts From Our Past website.

When GameStop had listed product pages for the upcoming Activision Ghostbusters (2016) video games, (GBI Blog Post, April 16, 2016) we didn’t notice in the Ghostbusters search another new, upcoming product from Insight Editions.

Insight Editions who published Ghostbusters The Ultimate Visual History (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, July 12, 2015) by Daniel Wallace aren’t strangers to licensed journals. As North America was severely lacking in Ghostbusters journals that can also securely hold our Ghostbusters mementos, Inside Editions has us hard covered.
