At last years New York Toy Fair we wrote about World Tech Toys. An electronic toy company known for licensing popular characters and basically adding a radio controlled helicopter element. It wasn’t clear in February how World Tech Toys could make sense of making Ghostbusters action figures fly. We also still don’t know if they completely created new action figures for this feat. World Tech Toys, makers of radio controlled cars, trucks, helicopters, and licensed figures were at New York Toy Fair to let us all know what they’re planning when it comes to Ghostbusters. I didn’t know much about World Tech Toys before seeing the above image.
I admit it seems a little odd (which would then be right for Ghostbusters) to have helicopter blades attached to a human figure. That’s part of what they’re already known for, having radio controlled DC Comics hero and villain figures. With Ghostbusters the only in movie universe figure that makes literal sense is Slimer.
