Our own web monkey Richard Roy aka Spengs received an email today from Erica, Senior Manger of Marketing for Think Geek. She has been inviting franchise groups/ghostheads to Think Geek locations this Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Why would she use her valuable time to do that? It’s the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters and they’re celebrating Ghostbusters within their retail locations!

Publicly not a lot has been shared about in how they’ll be celebrating Ghostbusters. We do know Think Geek will have an exclusive GHOSTBUSTERS™ Funko Pop. You’re a ghosthead and may already be in a group. You’ll probably have fun in air conditioning for free. Unless you buy stuff. And It’s GHOSTBUSTERS™. What other reason do you need to attend?

Think Geek’s individual locations Facebook pages have set up event information. If you’re in the US, “it won’t hurt you” to check if a Think Geek is having a Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary event.

Netflix show Stranger Things, with season 1 taking place in 1983 in part is also a tribute to “real” ’80s entertainment nostalgia. Ghosheads wondered if Stranger Things could take a break long enough from their seriousness to mention Ghostbusters when they get to 1984.
