Ghostbusters ATC Roleplaying ID Cards

In 1986 West End Games published Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game. One of the things this one of a kind Ghostbusters game book came with were ID cards for the Ghostbusters, Janine, and Dana. Sorry Louis.

That was pretty much it, (that I know of) until a new Ghostbusters movie was released during Summer 2016.

If you or your RPG buddies have been waiting to add the newer Ghostbusters and didn’t because of lack of equipment cards the wait is finally over.

Artist Jennell Jaquays, painted cover art for West End Games Ghostbusters™ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game supplemental books Pumpkin Patch Panic and Apokermis Now!

On October 31, 2015, (um we were pretty busy) Jennell Jaquays shared her two cover paintings. To this day her Apokermis Now art is still one of the weirdest pieces of art I’ve ever encountered.

Cryptozoic Entertainment Ghostbusters II The Board Game Successfully Funded

Our associates at Cryptozoic Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment sent a new press release for the upcoming Ghostbusters The Board Game II. (GBI Blog Post, March 12, 2015)

Raising over $765,000, the campaign more than tripled its initial goal of $250k, thanks to the support of 4,383 backers.

Backers can sign up for Kickstarter Pledge Manager updates to stay up on the game’s progress and/or change their pledge level.

Our apologies we didn’t post this sooner. We were watching superheroes cause a lot of damage over international paper work. We know how that can go.

Last November details emerged from Mark Caplan, Sony Pictures VP of global consumer products about Ghostbusters merchandise that was to come (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, November 11, 2015) from Mattel. One of those intriguing items, a Ghostbusters board game.

With Ghostbusters (2016) about 2 months away from its theatrical release we now know more about Mattel Games Ghostbusters board game, Ghostbusters Protect The Barrier.

As we wait for May and holidays worth of Ghostbusters merchandise a description has been released about Usaopoly’s upcoming Ghostbusters Monopoly (US) game.

It’s The Boardgames – Monopoly – Ghostbusters.

“Who ya gonna call”? Save the world from paranormal activity by subduing the vapors, entities and slimers at famous locations from the original Ghostbusters movie!

2-6 Players.
Ages 8+

Ghostbusters: The Board Game II builds off the successful original and introduces new miniatures, campaigns, powers, events, entities, gear… and GHOSTS. A standalone expansion, the game can be played on its own or mixed and matched with the original board game, which raised over $1.5M last year on Kickstarter. It includes 54 Miniatures including new Courtroom and Slime Blower Ghostbuster figures.

With authentic art from Ghostbusters comic book artist Dan Schoening and a script by Erik Burnham, the game is filled with references, in-jokes and Easter eggs that fans will love. Ghostbusters: The Board Game II is a flexible action-strategy game with unpredictable adversaries and a wide range of abilities, with 12 reversible tiles and campaigns that last from 20 minutes to multiple hours to let 1-4 players bust ghosts however they like.

Ghostbusters Yahtzee Rolling The Dice In July

With Ghostbusters Monopoly (GBI Blog Post, February 12, 2016) passing go next month, Ghost Corps (Facebook) had confirmed a Ghostbusters version of Yahtzee was also rolling onto your game table.

USAopoly provided a product photo and description:

America’s #1 dice game, Yahtzee has been slimed! Everybody’s beloved Slimer is the shaker cup and the hit movie Ghostbusters is the theme for this take on YAHTZEE! Roll five Proton Packs for a Yahtzee with an lnter-dimensional twist.

Game features custom Sllmer shaker and translucent dice.

Ghostbusters Yahtzee should be available in July. As always release dates can change for various reasons.
