This past Ghostbusters Day (GBI Blog Post, June 7, 2018) with Wizard World seemingly dominating Ghostbusters 34th into 35th anniversaries activities we way overlooked to post about Spirit Halloween then upcoming Ghostbusters prop toys (and other) merchandise. We are poor business ghostheads associates Spirit Halloween. We should have pumpkin spice food & beverages in the near future.

We’re finally making the time two months later to post about Spirit Ghostbusters prop toys, including the Spirit exclusive Ghost Trap. (GBI Blog Post, July 21, 2018)

Ghostbusters The Ultimate History Collector’s Edition

gbsuvhgozcollect.jpg

Who you gonna call?”

This replica of the sculpt of the Gozer Temple doors used in the original Ghostbusters film is based on the actual mold created by special effects legend Richard Edlund and his team at Boss Film Studios. Featuring intricate details that will thrill Ghostbusters fans, this evocative sculpt can be wall-mounted or displayed upright.

The sculpt comes with a copy of the deluxe book Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History, which takes an in-depth look at over three decades of Ghostbusters fun, from the original movies to the animated shows, comics, video games, toys, and other collectibles.

Exclusive to this edition are reproductions of three blueprints used on the original Ghostbusters film to construct the miniature version of 55 Central Park West and the streets below it and the Gozer Temple set.

Ghost Corps Displays New Ghostbusters Figures

ghostcorpsgbs16matteldisplay.jpg

Ghost Corps via their Facebook page added the above photo showing both upcoming Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters (2016) figures, vehicles, and play sets. We believe most, if not all the figures, etc are from Mattel. The Ghostbusters (2016) figures were shown at this year’s New York Toy Fair.

We’ve updated our display cases with new merchandise! Check out Ivan on the official GhostbustersSnapchat right now for a more in depth look! #Ghostbusters

What’s really new is the bottom of the display. It appears Mattel is re-releasing their former Matty Collector Ghostbusters figures in all new “classic” packaging. Except for a certain marshmallow ghost. Which basically hasn’t been packaged that way since Kenner produced and sold a The Real Ghostbusters version 30 years ago.

According to Ghost Corps the classic figures come with parts to build a “no ghost” logo.

  • Character mugs, keychains, and “no ghost” logo cufflinks.

New York Toy Fair: Ghostbusters Marshmallow Fun Booth

mashmallowfunnytfsetup

We had shared via our social media Marshmallow Fun‘s New York Toy Fair booth set up. As most, if not all of their Ghostbusters Marshmallow Shooter products are currently available to buy, we weren’t going to write more about it.

Then we saw this closer pic of the ‘shooting gallery’ taken by NYC Ghostbusters and changed our minds. We know that 100ft target isn’t available for sale, and yeah most fans don’t have the room for one of that size. Its still pretty cool. Stay-Puft, Slimer, shadowy Ghostbusters busting, and melting marshmallow images!

After the break, Marshmallow Fun’s Ghostbusters/Marshmallows product line up. Continue reading “New York Toy Fair: Ghostbusters Marshmallow Fun Booth”

New York Toy Fair: Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters Vs Ghosts

dstgbsvsghostsnytf

When we originally wrote about DST Ghosts In Glowing Slime we did notice the small figures practically beside it. It did remind us of something familiar from childhood. Can’t blame us (or you can) for not realizing a toy company would basically make Ghostbusters army men.

As NYC Ghostbusters were at New York Toy Fair, they took great photos of these products. Continue reading “New York Toy Fair: Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters Vs Ghosts”

New York Toy Fair: More About Ghostbusters Select Figures

The New York City Ghostbusters were also at New York Toy Fair. Where they took more new Ghostbusters merchandise photos. And as we and Ecto-Containment have done in recent years, written multi-part blog posts about the products.

When we didn’t know about that, we reached out through Twitter to ask Diamond Select Toys for additional information about whether their will be an Egon and Peter Ghostbusters Select.

Idle Hands (Flickr) have taken a whole digital roll (remember those?) of detailed Ghostbusters Select photos from New York Toy Fair. Instead of uploading the remaining 13 photos, we wanted to at least “mention” it and thank Paul Nicholasi for not only taking these detailed photos, other NYTF Ghostbusters merchandise.

More detailed Ghostbusters Select photos can be found at Paul Nicholasi’s Flickr account.

dstnoghostbotopennytf dststaypuftslimerbotopennytf

Ilde Hands’ (Flickr) has shared photos of Diamond Select Toys upcoming Ghostbusters ‘kitchenware.’ Previously DST had released a silicone Slimer Jello or cake mold and a “no ghost” logo silicone ice tray.

When you’re reaching for a cold one (its Coca~Cola time!) need a bottle opener, and can’t find that kinda plain one, why not use one or all (Important Safety Tip: Not at the same time) of these Ghostbuster bottle openers!
