Hot Wheels Retro ECTO-1A Reveal

hotwheelsretroecto1a

Brazilian Hot Wheels fan site, T-hunted has posted pictures of Mattel brand Hot Wheels Retro ECTO-1A. This small die cast ECTO-1A is probably a little more detailed then the one you might have had when you were 12. Also this still has all its paint on it. gb2earlydraft80588

In recent years ghosthead Paul Rudoff who runs the Ghostbusters website Spook Central has provided fans with a Halloween treat. Who doesn’t love Ghostbusters treats? Maybe that overgrown marshmallow man. :p These treats were chosen in the form of special eBooks PDFs. For Ghostbustersâ„¢ 30th Anniversary Paul has provided a Ghostbusters Theatrical Program Book PDF. It was handed to moviegoers at Ghostbusters premiere screenings.

As part of Ghostbusters IIâ„¢ 25th Anniversary Paul has provided from his personal collection an early script draft from Ghostbusters II! Continue reading “Spook Central’s Early Ghostbusters II Script Draft”

Rich Reviews: Ghostbusters II 25th Anniversary Blu-ray

gb30digibook

Product Description

The new 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters digi-book well looks like a book, contains what and how Ghostbusters and its sequel came together, inserts, Ghostbustersâ„¢ 30th Anniversary Blu-ray, and for the first time in any century Ghostbusters IIâ„¢ 25th Anniversary Blu-ray.

Ghost hand returns?

As their has never been a follow up book to Making Ghostbusters I can appreciate “The Story of Ghostbusters II” for the 25th Anniversary. With concept art, ghost model building, and pictures from Ghostbusters IIâ„¢. Which weren’t all in the theatrical version.

gb25bluray

This is the first and most likely the only time Ghostbusters IIâ„¢ will see the Blu-ray of light. Where then is the respect? Why did someone in authority approve a sideways cut off from the disc Ghostbusters II “victory/peace” sequel logo? You could say the logo is correct when one turns the disc with the title facing to the right. If you’re anything like me, you place your discs in a player with the logo facing upwards depending on the placement of art and/or title.

Rich Reviews: Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Blu-ray

Ghosthead websites and movies sites began reviewing the 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters Blu-rays within days of the release. At Ghostbusters Incorporated we’re far more busier. Ya know making sure the world is safe from disruptive ghosts and on the rare occasion those creatures that want to end all life as we know it for their own selfish agenda.

Some of us didn’t have the time we would have liked to have watched, let alone review new Ghostbusters Blu-rays. Then before we knew it, GB Inc. seemed to have become a food site because of our partnerships with Krispy Kreme and the Stay-Puft Corp. Before we really get into the busy season GB Inc. asked me to watch movies (at least they weren’t workplace safety videos this time) and review them.

I’ll be reviewing the new Ghostbusters digi-book as its the 30th Anniversary edition I chose. The actual 25th Anniversary Ghostbusters IIâ„¢ Blu-ray review will be a separate blog post.

Ryan’s October Family Nights

Ovation Brands Ghostbuster Family Night

When ghostheads bought a copy of the Ghostbustersâ„¢ 30th Anniversary Blu-ray, included were savings for restaurant chains Ryan’s®, Hometown® Buffet, and Old Country Buffet®. What we didn’t really then is that every Thursday during October from 5-8 PM is October Family Night.

Excerpt from their press release:

Ghostbusters II Photos

On August 28, we added Ghostbusters II™ concept and storyboard art to our Media section. That was just the beginning as we still had more then 50 photos to add to their respective personal, press, publicity, and filming pages. From earlier updates we wanted to have the pictures up realistically by Ghostbusters IIâ„¢ release to Blu-ray on September 16, 2014. If we didn’t get to those updates until first week of November, that would have been ok too.

Quite a few countries already have had their 30th Anniversary sets released, which naturally includes Ghostbusters II.â„¢ That’s a reason we worked on an unusually hot September Saturday. Fortunately the timing also works out in advance of the US Blu-ray release.

More anniversary and site updates to come. 🙂

Annie Potts Imagines Janine’s Future

janinefirehousegb30

Vanity Fair spoke with Annie Potts who portrayed then receptionist Janine Melnitz in Ghostbustersâ„¢ and Ghostbusters IIâ„¢. Annie Potts was asked where she saw the future of the character.

Interesting since Janine Melnitz is one of the most important people in Ghostbusters Incorporated history. I totally get that Annie Potts wouldn’t publicly give out details about Janine Melnitz’s life.
