This past Ghostbusters Day (GBI Blog Post, June 7, 2018) with Wizard World seemingly dominating Ghostbusters 34th into 35th anniversaries activities we way overlooked to post about Spirit Halloween then upcoming Ghostbusters prop toys (and other) merchandise. We are poor business ghostheads associates Spirit Halloween. We should have pumpkin spice food & beverages in the near future.
We’re finally making the time two months later to post about Spirit Ghostbusters prop toys, including the Spirit exclusive Ghost Trap. (GBI Blog Post, July 21, 2018)

Last month Anovos Productions LLC announced their upcoming Proton Pack replica kit. (GBI Blog Post, April 30, 2016) Since then Anovos told ghostheads through social media their is a payment plan for the upcoming kits. Great news for responsible ghostheads.
Going into the weekend (last if you knew we were slackers) Anovos sent out their May 2016 Ghostbusters newsletter where they not only updated their FAQ, began preparations for a new announcement.

Back in March Anovos Productions LLC teased their proton pack replica (GBI Blog Post, March 14, 2016) was coming soon. Yesterday around dinner time most ghostheads received Anovos’ Ghostbusters newsletter announcing their Proton Pack Kit.
Yes, just a kit. Do you think we’d allow just anyone to build a Proton Pack with thoughts of making it actually functional? We’re not going to risk going out of business…again. Continue reading “Anovos Announces Ghostbusters Proton Pack Replica Kit”
Or so they claim. News off the Japanese servers reports Sony developed “the worlds first Proton Pack.”
That’s a bold claim considering my employers Drs. Stantz, Spengler, and I guess to some extent Venkman invented the world’s first Proton Pack (along with other ghost technology) more then 30 years ago.
Also how did a fictional scientist work with a real one to create a 2016 Proton Pack? 😉 Continue reading “Sony Invents Ghost Catching Technology”
Earlier this month Anovos began preparing to save the world, (GBI Blog Post, March 4, 2016) by showing off Ghostbusters uniform name patches. Today they showed a partial photo of a Proton Pack (via their Facebook) with the word “Soon” on it. Continue reading “Anovos Teases Proton Pack Replica”
Towards the end of January we wrote that the Indianapolis Children’s Museum was preparing to display a screen used Proton Pack worn by Bill Murray. Part of there “You’re on the Set!” exhibit.
With the exhibit open, ghosthead Rob Zetzer took photos of the Ghostbusters display to share with fans and a fictional worldwide company.
Along with the previously mentioned screen used Proton Pack and Ghostbusters II Belt Gizmo, there was also a prop Star magazine and ‘Dr. Venkman’ business card.
To see all of Rob’s Indianapolis Ghostbusters photos, check out Imgur.
If you’re in the Indianapolis area and visit Indianapolis Children’s Museum the exhibit runs through July 26, 2015.

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum is preparing to display a screen used (hero) Ghostbusters Proton Pack worn by Bill Murray. Along with a Ghostbusters II screen used Belt Gizmo. We’re not sure if it was worn by Bill Murray. Why would the Indianapolis Children’s Museum display Ghostbusters and more? Its part of there “You’re on the Set!” exhibit. Prior to learning Phillip Avery created a 3D Printable Ghost Trap we knew ghosthead Tommy B was building a Proton Pack from printing 3D parts. As far as we knew (until today) this is the first 1:1 scale prop Proton Pack made by printing necessary pieces. We really like what Tommy B created. We’re pleased its a prop, not operational high tech (and potentially dangerous) equipment.
Tommy B used a Makerbot Replica 2 3D Printer to print the parts. Parts files came from software engineer Tony Goacher and are hosted at Thingiverse. Printable 3D files can be used for individual, non commercial use. Continue reading “A 3D Proton Pack”
