Ghostbusters II Screen Used Tripod Traps

gb2screenusedtripodtraps

Sometime this year an auction company had a screen used prop from GHOSTBUSTERS IIâ„¢. It’s a really good one too. Tripod Ghost Traps were rarely seen in either the film or by most Ghostbusters International employees.

Thanks to ghosthead Adam aka SabaSka109 more ghostheads can see detailed photos of this fascinating piece of Ghostbusters history. Due to major safety concerns and regulations GBI could never share schematics with the public. Which is a reason you don’t find many photos of these Tripod Ghost Traps.

Adam shared 8 photos and a video of his screen used Tripod Ghost Traps in a Ghostbusters Fans message board thread.

cabestbuygbsteel.jpg

For some reason electronics and entertainment retailer Best Buy (US) really likes Steel Books. The steel bound “hard” covers cases that protect in recent years Blu-Rays. Almost always (at least in the US) a movie exclusive for Best Buy is a steelbook version.

It isn’t a surprise that Best Buy will have exclusive steel book versions for both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II when they’re reissued from Sony Pictures Entertainment. Kinda surprising, (as far as we know) these Ghostbusters/II steel books are exclusive to Canadian Best Buy locations.

As of this evening Best Buy’s site within the US doesn’t have photos for the new, upcoming releases. With artwork like above and below the read more, our neighbors to the north display the photos like fine art.

If your country (or region) will also have exclusive Ghostbusters steel books, please let us know in the comments.
