Ghostbusters International and an affiliated franchise are most likely already in your city. And easily accessible through your internet or telecommunications provider. As its been a number of years since GBI as a company and club has had a domain name, the time is right for GBI to not just have a dot wordpress dot com url.
It’s 2020, twenty twenty. Let that sink in. The GHOSTBUSTERS™ franchise celebrates it’s 36th anniversary by welcoming a continuation and a sequel of the original films with Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Obligatory plug: Coming to theaters on July 10, 2020. Directed by Jason Reitman. And all a new Ghostbusters film will bring to ghostheads.
I’ve wanted GBI to have a new domain name, it had to be the “right one.” And personally it had to feel right as well. I didn’t need to just celebrate the 35th anniversary by also having a domain name again for GBI.
This year it’s better early on to have a new domain name for Ghostbusters International, for Ghostbusters: Afterlife premiere, theatrical releases, and home video releases. With that, in digital text Ghostbusters International new dot com is:
Two thousand, sixteen. A new year for the Ghostbusters franchise. A milestone year. A year I thought once again GBI should have a new domain name. One that’s less than twenty five letters.
Last year the identity for Ghostbusters International was a little less strong. With continuing changes to my life I had less time to update this site, let alone a few. I’m trying.
The renewal for what was ghostbustersintern dot com has come and gone. I decided not so hastily to not renew the domain name for another year. “For the foreseeable future” Ghostbusters International’s site will only be using WordPress default website address.
When I wrote December 3, 2016 personal update I wasn’t planning on renewing the domain name for Ghostbusters International. Which did or was going to expire today.
I felt at the time with the site’s inactivity and what has been going on in my personal life, better at the time to save the price of approximately 4 cups of that star place’s coffee. I usually make my own coffee anyway.
It still made sense to wait and be somewhat responsible when it comes to fun. The renewal price has been there from multiple sources (i.e.: gift cards) going back at least two years.
As of today ghostbustersintern.com has been renewed for another year. As I move forward I’d like to get back to updates. It depends on the real responsibilities.
During a Q3 meeting neither company was publicly able to talk about, (due to signed paperwork and the internet) our associates from Ghost Corps (Facebook) toured our Corporate HQ. (GBI Blog Post, March 8, 2016) Where they were able to get a design sense of our museum.
Why would Sony be interested in what we display Ghostbusters wise? Sony is designing there own museum which wouldn’t be complete without a GHOSTBUSTERS™ section.
I’ve been meaning to write this post before today. I held off because its difficult and very personal. In other posts where I say its personal, it can be vague. I don’t generally like to publicize my personal life. I’ve whenever I could kept my personal life separate from Ghostbusters. Through the years they’ve sometimes been connected. I feel as a courtesy, for the support you’ve shown the sites over the years, and a need to write I would provide a personal update.

As the old saying can go, their’s never a good time to take a vacation around here. This past week was no exception. I originally wanted Louis to update GBI with recent Ghostbusters happenings. In the US deadlines for Tax Day were coming up. As you can imagine Louis was pretty stressed. In addition to what else he does at GBI.
While we really should have more then me to actually update a global site, we don’t. On short notice the best we could do (or so we hoped) is to have interns look through social media and save links. Thankfully at least one employee thought to put a little organization into it. Not enough as now I have to do more then one job as I resume the un-normacly of working for Ghostbusters International.
I’ll be writing about this past week’s Ghostbusters happenings. Hopefully while informative you’ll be ectocontained as well.
When Ghostbusters International was returning (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, December 31, 2015) one of the sections that hadn’t been around in recent years was our corporate space.
Sometime around when Dr. Venkman and I (he wrote it, I put it all together) created the Firehouse section it wasn’t suppose to be that long until the company created a section about our corporate HQ. The photos were taken, before they could be organized their were more timely updates and the world was predicted (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, February 14, 2016) to end.
With that behind us until the next paranormal threat, (probably will interrupt lunch) on Sunday the photos were organized and uploaded. GBI was updated along with its social media presence. In September of 2014, we added West End Games Ghostbusters adventure book, Hot Rods Of The Gods. (GBI Blog Post, September 14, 2014)
Since then we’ve had ghostheads who want to help us add additional adventure/supplemental books. We really appreciate the offer and are willing to accept as long as the scans come from you and weren’t or aren’t part of another site.
Before Christmas ghosthead Jon Armke got in touch with us to offer such supplemental materials we don’t already have on-line. Today, Jon sent a PDF file of Ghostbusters II: The Adventure.
Choosing a new domain name after sacrificing one we’ve had for so long isn’t easy. Sometimes the ones you like aren’t available or if they are can cost too much when you don’t have a real ghost research and capture company behind you.
We also have to consider “brand identity.” If you don’t know what that is, we have a branch manager, Michael Scott. He’ll be in the conference room giving us a presentation. I understand he likes to use acronyms.
Sure we could have chosen the .net, dot org, or even .me. This is Ghostbusters International, we aren’t just another world wide web site. GBI isn’t just about me.
