Last October Funko and Big Ten Entertainment introduced us to Pop! Movies Domo Ghostbusters. While photos of the three products with box art have been available, most fans didn’t see the actual Domo Ghostbusters until New York Toy Fair.

After looking at and writing about Hobby Japan magazine which featured Tsukuda’s Ghostbusters produced and prototyped (I think) models I went on an internet rampage (not so subtle reference) trying to find another copy of Issue 1 from 1985. When the results were less than successful I began looking at the known Tsukuda Ghostbusters models. Tsukuda’s Terror Dog and Stay-Puft have been written about by others. Back in May we posted about Ghostbusters Incorporated, Sony, Funko, and Big Ten Entertainment partnering together to bring ghostheads and Domo fans Funko Movie Pops! Ghostbusters Domo figures! 5 months later we’re getting our first look at them.

I haven’t been to any malls, especially the closest one to my home since Summer. Coincidentally I was near my “childhood” mall the weekend Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary screenings were playing. Not that it probably would have mattered for this post, I wanted to go to that mall, their wasn’t enough time.
Like many ghostheads I’ve owned quite a few Ghostbusters t-shirts through the years. In the last decade (maybe a bit longer) as an adult I’ve had licensed t-shirts, home made ones (pre-new licensees) and then Ghostbusters International t-shirts. The Ghostbusters t-shirt I still wear is a heavier black t-shirt with the “no ghost” logo and Ghostbusters beneath it. I think I bought it in the later 2000s and it was made by a former Ghostbusters licensee. I still wear that shirt sometimes, I’ve been wanting a newer shirt during Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary.
I’ve known where to buy those kinds of t-shirts on-line since the summer. It was less of a priority to buy an official tee then say Ghostbusters Pop Movie! collectibles or the 30th Anniversary Blu-Rays. I was thinking of licensed Ghostbusters t-shirts and before getting to the mall near my home, seeing a little what could be available. I was checking Ghostbusters merchandise for price comparisons. While I was on Ghostbusters Store I saw the above new t-shirts. I hadn’t seen it posted or talked about by ghostheads at that time. Instead of immediately posting here I left a Facebook post with Robin Shelby. If anyone should have one of these, its definitely her. Robin Shelby “earned it.” 🙂
Each of these two Krispy Kreme Ghostbusters “donut” shirts glow in the dark. We’re not sure with Slimer why the artist didn’t just use the image of Slimer (portrayed by Robin Shelby during Ghostbusters II™) that both Sony and Krispy Kreme use on ghostbusters.com and is part of the Krispy Kreme Ghostbusters promotion until October 31, 2014.
Each t-shirt can currently be pre-ordered and will ship before or by October 27, 2014.
